Artificial graphite anode material is a type of graphite anode product manufactured from raw materials such as petroleum coke, needle coke, and asphalt through processes such as shaping, carbonization, and graphitization. Due to its advantages such as good conductivity, long cycle life, and controllable cost, artificial graphite anode material is widely used in three major fields: power batteries, consumer batteries, and energy storage batteries.
The shipment volume of artificial graphite anode materials has continued to increase.
From 2016 to 2024, the shipment volume of artificial graphite anode materials in China showed an upward trend. In 2024, it exceeded 1.8 million tons, with a year-on-year growth rate of 23.97%. In the first half of 2025, the shipment volume of artificial graphite in China had reached 1.17 million tons.
From the perspective of the major listed companies in the industry, in 2024, the output of artificial graphite anode materials of Shanshan Shares exceeded 3.5 million tons, while the output of Zhongke Electric and Shangta Technology both exceeded 2 million tons. The output of artificial graphite anode materials of the following five enterprises was close to 10 million tons.

Artificial graphite has become the mainstream product in the graphite anode material industry.
Since 2016, the shipment volume of artificial graphite anode materials in the total shipment volume of graphite anode materials has shown an upward trend. As of the first half of 2025, the proportion of artificial graphite has reached 91.7%, an increase of 4.25% compared to the proportion in 2024.
The sales volume of artificial graphite anode for major listed companies exceeded 900,000 tons.
In 2024, the sales volume of artificial graphite anode materials of Shanshan Co., Ltd. exceeded 3 million tons, while the production volumes of Zhongke Electric and Shangta Technology both exceeded 2 million tons. The sales volume of artificial graphite anode materials of the following five listed companies exceeded 90 million tons.
