Graphite Tube and Graphite Pipe for Furnace and Chemical Use

Product Overview

Our graphite tubes and pipes are cylindrical graphite components used as protective sleeves, gas injection tubes, thermocouple shields, and furnace structural members in high-temperature and corrosive environments. Extruded and isostatic graphite tubes provide excellent thermal conductivity, chemical resistance, and high-temperature strength where metal tubes fail or oxidize. We manufacture tubes in a wide range of diameters and wall thicknesses, cut to custom lengths, with precision-machined ends for flange connections, fittings, or press-fit assemblies.

Graphite tubes serve critical functions in vacuum furnaces, chemical processing, and molten metal handling: they protect thermocouples from corrosive atmospheres, deliver inert gas into molten aluminum, and act as radiation tubes in high-temperature furnaces. At Jincheng Graphite, we extrude and bore graphite tubes with consistent wall thickness and straightness. Each tube is precision-cut and machined to your length and end-detail requirements, with options for flanged ends, threaded connections, or polished inner bores.

Key Features

  • High temperature resistance - usable up to 3000°C in vacuum or inert gas
  • Chemical corrosion resistance - resists most acids, alkalis, and molten non-ferrous metals
  • Good thermal conductivity - uniform heat distribution as furnace radiation tubes
  • Consistent wall thickness - extruded and bored for round, straight tubes
  • Custom lengths - cut to your exact length requirements
  • Machined end details - flanges, threads, chamfers, and fittings as required
  • Lightweight - easy to handle and install in furnace assemblies
  • Non-contaminating - no metal outgassing in vacuum or semiconductor processes

FAQ

Q: Can graphite tubes be used in air?
A: Graphite oxidizes in air above 400-500°C. For air service at elevated temperatures, we recommend SiC-coated graphite tubes, which provide oxidation protection up to 1600°C. For vacuum, inert gas, or reducing atmosphere service, uncoated graphite works excellently.

Q: What is the maximum tube length you can supply?
A: We can manufacture tubes up to 1500 mm in a single piece. For longer lengths, we can supply joined tubes with internal couplings or flange connections. Contact us with your required length and we will advise on the best construction.

Q: Can you machine threads on the tube ends?
A: Yes. We can machine external or internal threads on tube ends for connection to fittings, flanges, or other components. Please specify the thread standard (Metric, NPT, BSP) when ordering.

Q: How do I choose wall thickness?
A: Wall thickness depends on internal/external pressure, mechanical load, and thermal shock. For gas delivery tubes, a 3-5 mm wall is typical. For structural or pressure applications, we recommend 8-15 mm. Tell us your operating conditions and we will recommend the right wall thickness.
